Inspecting: Weld

In this challenge, IGOR^AI was used to find ways to automate weld inspection and possibly mount these technologies on unmanned areal vehicles (UAV), such as drones. A total of 36 technologies were found of which ten were selected for a deep dive search. These ten most promising technologies were assessed on TRL, speed, compactness and measurement distance.

How does a Sensors case work?

During the intake meeting you together define the scope of the challenge, for which you want to find sensors.

After the intake meeting the Findest scout will focus on finding all relevant sensors and measurement methodologies for your challenge. The results will contain a short description and examples from literature.

In the midway meeting, we will discuss which results are relevant. You can then select 1-10 sensor approaches for the deep dive scouting phase.

This second scouting phase will consist of elaborating the information of the sensor approaches and summarise this in a table. A summary of the selected sensing techniques is provided in a table containing three important aspects of your choice. Additionally, the platform outlines other specifications, TRL and suppliers of the sensors.

Findest's goal is to provide you the tools to select the most promising sensor technology for your challenge. On the IGOR^AI platform you can rapidly select, evaluate and share the results with the whole team.
