I am looking for: Sustainable alternatives

Finding technologies is what IGOR^AI was originally built for. With the functional search engine we can find all the technologies that perform a specific function. As IGOR^AI understands the relationship between a verb and a noun that together describe this function, e.g. ‘detect movement". This "funtional searching" allows us to find results from various fields that fulfill this function.

In order to make your company future proof, you might be on the outlook for technologies to save on energy consumption or to reduce CO2 emissions. With IGOR^AI, we can scout the best solutions to reach your sustainability goals.

Tailored approach

The aim of this first scouting phase will be on finding all material categories out there and providing information about these materials. With the info you will be able to select several categories for further deepening. Using a relatively short list of categories instead of a long list of individual components, makes it easier to gain an overview of what is out there.

The second scouting phase will consist of elaborating the information and finding all materials within the selected categories. This approach creates a more tailored overview of the types of materials that are interesting for your application.

Example of a CO2 reduction method: heat exchangers
This case is the broadest question ever asked to IGOR^AI. How to "reduce CO2" in "industry". We performed this project to provide a high level overview of the ways in which industry can impact their CO2 emissions. A total of 44 solutions are presented ranging from carbon caputure methods to policy & strategy.

Formula 1 plans to have a "net-zero carbon footprint by 2030". This case provides an overview of new and innovative ways to power the drive train of racing cars that should help to improve the efficiency and reduce the emissions of the engine. A total of 52 methods ranging from electric drives to alternative fuels were listed, of which 14 were deepened during the second scouting phase.

How does a Sustainability case work?

During the intake meeting we together define the scope of your sustainability challenge.

After the intake meeting the Findest scout will focus on finding all relevant technologies and methodologies for your challenge. The results will contain a short description and examples from literature.

In the midway meeting, we will discuss which results are relevant. You can then select 1-10 approaches for the deep dive scouting phase.

This second scouting phase will consist of elaborating the information of the sustainability approaches and summarise this in a table. A summary of the selected approaches is provided in a table containing three important aspects of your choice. Additionally, the platform outlines other specifications, TRL and suppliers.

Findest's goal is to provide you the tools to select the most promising sustainable solution for your challenge. On the IGOR^AI platform you can rapidly select, evaluate and share the results with the whole team.
